Our friends have previously had Jr. Cyclone Club passes for their girls, so it was something we wanted to look into as part of our ticketing decision. Ultimately we decided on BOTH season tickets “for the kids” as well as Jr. Cyclone tickets.
But first, a little on the program. The Jr. Cyclone Club membership includes a T-shirt and access/benefits to more than just football season benefits. Here’s the full run-down of perks:
- One T-shirt per membership
- Hillside admission for all home football games
- General admission for all women’s basketball, volleyball, wrestling, gymnastics, soccer, softball and select men’s basketball games
- Experiences such as clinics and other special events TBA
In Jack Trice Stadium, the northeast and northwest hillsides are a cheap way to see the game and there’s a special package/rate for club kids and their parents. We were interested as this gives us extra flexibility during the game since we’ll have children along. We’ll be able to get close to the players for the big entrance. If we want to get up and stretch we have some literal wiggle room where we can still watch the game. And lastly, if we want to bring along additional adults, we can still bring the kids into the game and they can sit on our lap, or we can sit hillside with them.
These youth memberships are $59 each. While this is on top of of the regular season ticket price, we feel good about having some extra flexibility as the kids will be 4 and 7 this season and we don’t have any control over a few other big factors: game time and weather. Having the option to move around will help ensure we can keep everyone in the family happy all game long!
The fine print: Membership is for students age 12 and younger, limit two per household.
